8.1 The Board of Directors has been formed with the following members for the operation, supervision and management of the Institute:- 8.1.1 The person designated or appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the people who have experience in the management of drinking water - Chairman 8.1.2 Representative (Gazetted First Class), Ministry of Physical Planning and Construction – Member 8.1.3 Representative (Gazetted First Class), Ministry of Health and Population, (Viewing Public Health) – Member 8.1.4 The institute serves One head of a municipality appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the submitted municipalities - Member 8.1.5 Two female representatives of the organization appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the organizations of consumers involved in the protection of consumers' interests - Member 8.1.6 One appointed by the Government of Nepal from experts on water quality - Member 8.1 .7 One person appointed by the Government of Nepal from among the organizations involved in environment or environmental protection - Member 8.1.8 General Manager, Nepal Water Supply Institute - Member - Secretary 8.2 ……….. 8.3 If the Government of Nepal deems it necessary, publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and the Board of Directors. Necessary additions or changes in members can be made. 8.4 If the committee deems it necessary, it may invite any foreign or domestic expert or consultant to participate in the meeting of the board of directors as an observer.
